While Green Lantern doesn’t hit theatres until next summer, the folks at Warner Brothers are readying themselves for big screen success. The WB have already hired Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim to produce a treatment for a second installment of the lantern wielding hero. Not only will the trio (who also wrote the Green Lantern screenplay) work on the Green Lantern sequel, but they will also work on a treatment for The Flash. Depending on the outcome the three will gone on to create the screenplay of one of the two films. I will also add that Micheal Green created the short-lived television series Kings, which I am still mad at NBC for cancelling.
Green Lantern will hit theatre June 2011 and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, and Mark Strong.
